Lee Jordan – Class of 2011
Lee left Columbus in 1987 to start a 30 year career at WEWS. Her career began as Co-Host of The Morning Exchange, which was widely regarded as one of the most successful local programs in television history. She remained with the Morning Exchange from 1987-1993.
During Lee’s WEWS career, she won 7 Emmy awards for anchoring, hosting and reporting. In addition, Lee received two prestigious accolades for best regional newscast—one from the Associated Press and the other an Edward R. Murrow Award.
Lee has always been an active participant in community organizations with a strong commitment to fundraising. Over the years, she has been active with Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital, Women’s Community Fund, Cleveland Alzheimer’s Association, Visiting Nurses Association OROC and The Gathering Place. Lee has also served on the Board of Director’s for both the Cleveland Eyebank and the Alzheimer’s Association.
Lee is expected to spend her retirement time family and friends, cooking, getting cozy with a stack of magazines and books and maybe a few rounds of golf.
