Download the 2008-2009 Application Here
Dear Student Advisors,
The Cleveland Association of Broadcasters once again is offering scholarships to Northeast Ohio college students majoring in communications, journalism, media, advertising, broadcasting or a related field, or to a student enrolled beyond 1st qtr at an Ohio school that has a nationally accredited program in any of the above fields. Three (non-renewable) scholarships in the amount of $1,000 for the 08-09 school year will be awarded. In the past, we have partnered with the Northeast Ohio Council on Higher Education to administer and award these scholarships. Unfortunately, NOCHE is no longer in existence. To enable the CAB to continue our scholarship program and reward the most deserving students, we are asking for your assistance in facilitating the process. We ask that you (or another appropriate person) at the university;
- Notify students of the scholarship (through counselors, in classes, electronically or physically post notices, etc…)
- Make enclosed application forms available or download online at www.cabcleveland.com
- Collect applications by the Nov 15th, 2008 deadline extended thru 01/31/09
- Submissions should be sent to:
CAB Scholarship Program P. O. Box 15294 Cleveland, OH 44115 Download the 2008-2009 Application Here The CAB Review Board will then review all the submitted candidates from all participating universities, select the three winners and notify the university representatives and students directly. The winners will be awarded their scholarship by Jan 30, 2009. We plan to invite the winners to our annual awards luncheon in March 2009.
The CAB is interested in continuing to foster and promote the excellence and professionalism of the broadcast industry in Greater Cleveland and look to our youth to enable us to accomplish this goal. We hope you will join us and participate in this scholarship program. Sincerely,
Jeff Miller CAB President Cori McGowan CAB Scholarship Chair
